"A Race Winner goes Cruiser"

Salona 35

A cruiser-racer in the truest sense, this yacht is designed for sailors whose appetite for performance persists well beyond the racecourse.

Design

The S35 was designed by J&J Design and optimized by America’s Cup designer Jason Kerr.

Cockpit

The stern houses a thoroughly practical cockpit that is wide, spacious and free of obstacles — both comfortable for cruising and functional for racing. It also features an easily convertible open-to-closed transom. A teak dinette table appropriate for cruising can be easily removed for a race and then just as easily replaced. Two spacious latches with an additional dedicated locker for two gas bottles, as well as two standard carbon fiber steering wheels and high-end sailing gear all make single-handed sailing easier.

Construction and Safety

At the heart of the S35 is Salona’s hallmark design feature: an impressive stainless steel frame. This signature structure is designed to securely spread the loads from the keel, shrouds and mast, and distribute them evenly throughout the hull, increasing the boat’s stability and overall safety.

Control

The S35’s deep rudder is designed for optimum “grip” and maximum “feel,” offering responsive and reliable handling across all sea conditions and points of sail. It comes standard with a tiller or the two wheels option, as well as an optional cascade backstay that can ensure simple and accurate rig tuning.

Sail Plan

The S35 boasts a powerful sail plan balanced by either a T-shaped keel, which maximizes ballast leverage for remarkable stability or for extra performance, a Jason Kerr-designed blade racing keel. It also features a retractable carbon bowsprit for ease of sail handling and downwind enjoyment.

Request a sea trial to indulge in the adventure of sailing and discover the exhilaration of racing.

Salona History

" The first of the new Salona 35 line to race in the UK took last autumn’s Garmin Hamble Winter Series by storm, winning three races and scoring only one result outside the top four, to win the class by five points."

Cabin Layout

With two private staterooms and two additional folding bunk beds in the salon, as well as a roomy head with a shower, the S35 features the ideal accommodations for your family to stay overnight comfortably during leisure trips or for the crew to use during regattas. The forward berth can be removed to create a workable sail-handling area in the ample forepeak.

"For a capable crew the Salona 35 with the Jason Kerr blade keel has the potential to deliver top-class results in a competitive fleet…Yachts & Yachting May 2013"
